Since arriving at Kennesaw State in 1991, head baseball coach Mike Sansing has built one of the most successful programs in school history, leading the Owls to multiple national tournaments and two national championships, including the 1994 NAIA title and the 1996 NCAA Division II crown. Over his tenure, Sansing has guided KSU through its transition to Division I while maintaining consistent success, highlighted by a historic 2014 season that included the program’s first ASUN Championship, NCAA Regional title, and Super Regional appearance.

Sansing’s career includes more than 1,000 wins at Kennesaw State and over 1,100 at the collegiate level, along with numerous conference titles, postseason appearances, and Coach of the Year honors. He has also developed a long list of standout players, producing All-Americans, major award winners, and dozens of MLB Draft selections, including first-round picks and multiple major leaguers. His sustained success, player development, and impact on the program have solidified his legacy as one of the most accomplished coaches in Kennesaw State athletics history.
