Hall of Fame
Dr. King, who worked at Kennesaw State for more than 25 years, became the sixth administrator inducted into the Hall of Fame. She is nationally recognized as the initiator of the First Year Experience, a program that has been widely copied by other institutions by their handling of freshman students. An ardent supporter of athletics, King headed the KSU Self Study team, which allowed the institution to be accepted into Division I of the NCAA in 2009. While retiring from full-time service in May of 2008, she continues to work for the Owls as a professor, administrator and the athletic department's Senior Woman Administrator.
