OWLS IN THE COMMUNITY

Walton Day

The goal of Kennesaw State Athletics is to build champions in the classroom, the field of play and in the community. KSU and our student-athletes are proud to give back to the local area that support us on a daily basis.

2024

KSU MGOLF

Men's golf traveled to Chestnut Elementary in Dunwoody, Ga. helping the K-5 students learn basic golfing techniques!

Kennesaw State tennis hosted Epilepsy Awareness Day, wearing special purple t-shirts and wristbands.

Owl football participated in Read Across America Day at local elementary schools.

2023

Walton Day

Kennesaw State and several student-athletes helped celebrate Walton Communities' fourth annual Walton Day for a great day of fun, faith and fellowship. The FCA at Kennesaw State hosted over 150 kids from Walton Communities.

LEXI'S Day 2023

KSU softball hosted its annual Lexi's Day event, raising awareness and money for children in metro Atlanta that live with neuromuscular ailments. Learn more about the Alexis Kaiser Foundation here.

Kennesaw State football traveled to local elementary schools to participate in Read Across America Day.

KSU MBB

KSU men's basketball helped freshen-up Murray F. Barber Middle School.

Men's and women's basketball led camps hosted by Roswell Street Baptist Church.

Student-athletes from KSU softball, volleyball and football helped support Mission 1:27.

MBB and WBB KSU CARE Services Food Pantry

KSU men's and women's basketball delivered canned food items to the KSU CARE Services food pantry.

KSU women's basketball packed shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.

KSU Owls LAX Horizon League

Kennesaw State lacrossee spent time with the Horizon League, sharing their love of athletics with the community.

2022

Community Service Spring Field Day

KSU Spring Field Day was held at the KSU Perch on April 8, as Walton Communities and Mission 1:27 brought over 48 kids from the surrounding neighborhood to the Owl football practice fields. There, student-athletes from five different KSU teams were on hand to work with the kids, showing them different drills and games from their sport as well as talking to them about how they became college athletes.

Several Owl teams were involved with the Horizon League in Acworth. That program provides children and young adults with developmental and physical disabilities the opportunity to participate in athletic events, including baseball and kickball.

The KSU women's lacrosse team participated in the first-ever adaptive lacrosse clinic in the state of Georgia, thanks to a collaborative effort between the Owls, the city of Acworth and USA Lacrosse.

Kennesaw State athletics collcted over 5,000 items to ‘Hoot Out Hunger.' Click image for more.

Kennesaw State student-athletes recently partnered with Mission 1:27 to provide local children with an opportunity to interact with Owl student-athletes, explore Fifth Third Stadium, and engage in leadership lessons.
