Max Pentecost made history at Kennesaw State as the program’s highest-ever MLB Draft pick, going No. 11 overall to the Toronto Blue Jays in 2014. He played a pivotal role in the Owls’ historic 2014 season, leading KSU to its first NCAA Regional title and a Super Regional appearance after defeating Alabama twice in the Tallahassee Regional. A consensus First-Team All-American, Pentecost won the 2014 Johnny Bench Award and set school records for hits (113) and batting average (.422) while helping the Owls to a program-record 40 wins.

He remains one of the most accomplished players in program history, ranking first in career doubles (53) and caught runners (22), while also placing among the top five in several other offensive categories.
