TALKING POINTS
» The Kennesaw State women's lacrosse team will start Atlantic Sun Conference play at Furman on Wednesday, March 25 at 6 p.m. The game will be broadcasted on the SoCon Digital Network.
» Sydney Farwick leads the team with 25 points and 28 draw controls. In half of Kennesaw State's games, she has had at least three points.
» Lucy Mills came up big against Coastal Carolina scoring three goals against the Chanticleers. The freshman's three goals doubled her scoring output for the season as she is tied for third on the team with six goals.
 
THE COMPETITION
FURMAN        
Furman is a first year program that has started out with a 5-3 record through their non-conference schedule.
 
The Paladin's have had three common opponents as the Owls going 2-1 against Gardner Webb, Campbell and Coastal Carolina.
 
Being a first year program, they only have two juniors and the rest of the team is freshman and sophomores.
 
Freshman attacker Britt Douglass leads the team with 21 goals.
 
Maggie Friel has played all 492 minutes for the Paladin's in the net. She has made 57 saves on the season and an average save percentage of .410.
 
Rachel Whitten is the head coach at Furman.

This Week in KSU Lacrosse
»    Kennesaw State lost its weekend game against Coastal Carolina. Now, the Owls will play two A-Sun games this week against Furman on Wednesday, March 25 at 6 p.m. and Detroit on Sunday, March 29 at 12 p.m.
 
Last Time Out                                    
»    On a rainy Sunday afternoon, the Kennesaw State women's lacrosse team had their two game win streak snapped against the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. The Owls lost the 18-3 in their final non-conference game of the season.
 
Coach Llanes on Lucy Mills' Scoring Three Goals
»    "Lucy is coming off of an injury, and she showed up big today in our game. She had poise under pressure and she was able to make adjustments to her shooting in regards to what the goalkeeper was doing, so we were impressed with her lacrosse IQ today."
 
KSU as a Team                                   
»    KSU is 15th in the country picking up 18.70 ground balls per game. That is third in the A-Sun behind Jacksonville, who leads the country, and Mercer.
»    The come from behind victory against LIU Brooklyn was the largest deficit that Kennesaw State has overcome in its three seasons as a program. KSU trailed the Blackbirds by four goals at 6-2 in the first half and trailed by three goals at halftime.
»    Coming into the season, the Owls team record for assists in a game was eight. So far this season, KSU has surpassed that number twice against Delaware State and Gardner Webb. Kennesaw State had 10 assists against the Hornets and had nine assists against the Runnin' Bulldogs.

KSU Individually                               
» Freshman Connor Zophy matched Farwick's six points against Gardner Webb having five assists and one goal. The five assists is the most a player has had in a game at Kennesaw State.
» Allison Senft has provided some stability in the net for the Owls. She has made double-digit saves in four of the past five games, and is sixth in the country in total saves with 88.
» Taylor McGhee is second on the team in points with 19 goals and two assists. She has seven multi-goal games so far this season.
