Atlantic Sun Defensive Player of the Week (3/17/14)

2017
Finished the season second on the team in goals with 43 and draw controls with 37… In conference play, she led the team with 29 goals averaging 2.9 per game… Finished the season with a new career high of 49 points… Scored multiple goals in 12 of the 17 games and at least three goals in 10 of the 17 games this season… Sixth best mark in the ASUN averaging 2.47 goals per game… Picked up 18 ground balls… Four-year captain for the Owls.

2016
Named to the ASUN All-Academic Team... Scored 16 goals and had four assists in 15 games… She picked up 23 ground balls, won 19 draw controls and caused 12 turnovers… She won A-Sun Defensive Player of the Week after winning seven draw controls against Detroit and also had two hat tricks that weekend against Central Michigan and Detroit... Has had four multi-goal games this season… Served as team captain for the third straight season.

2015
McGhee was named Second Team All-Atlantic Sun and to the All-Academic team… Named an All-American by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and EAS Sports Nutrition for her dedication and hard work in the weight room… She finished second on the team with 38 points scoring 31 goals and having seven assists… She is 14 of 22 on free position attempts this season and the 14 goals was tied for first most in the A-Sun averaging 0.78 per game… McGhee also has picked up 22 ground balls, won 24 draw controls and caused eight turnovers… She has started every game for the Owls this season.

2014
In her freshman season, McGhee was awarded the Iron Owl of the Year Award for her hard work in the weight room… She was fourth on the team with 19 points… Finished second on the team winning 27 draw controls including winning nine against Presbyterian that led to her being named A-Sun Defensive Player of the Week… McGhee was also third on the team with 26 ground balls. 

HIGH SCHOOL
Senior season won the 2013 Outstanding Achievement Award and Outstanding Senior Award… Named team captain… Named to First Team All-State after tallying 70 points with 54 goals and 14 assists… Invited to play in the 2013 Georgia High School Lacrosse All-Star Game… Earned team MVP honors junior and senior seasons… Earned Academic All-American honors… Won 2010 Lacrosse Rookie of the Year award… Was a team  captain on the cross country team as well.

Born April 11, 1995… Hometown is Marietta, Georgia… Attended Sprayberry High School… Majoring in Integrative Studies-Environmental Science… Was the Treasurer of the National Honors Society, Secretary of SGA, and Anchor Club Vice President… Awarded the 2012 Principal’s Medallion.
