Dover, Del. – Kennesaw State women's lacrosse trounced Delaware State 19-6, in a game that saw three different Owls score their first career goals. Monday's win marks the first time the Owls have had a winning record in the month of March since 2024.

KEY PLAYERS: Offense came in abundance as 10 different players had at least one goal; this pressure was made possible by Sophia Nunez, who was dominant again in the draw circle, securing 12. Lexi Tinker, Caleigh Shore, and Natalie Charyak each scored three goals, with Tinker adding on three assists.

THE RUNDOWN: The Owls came out hot from first draw, with Tinker scoring the first two goals of the game. Five more Owls got on the board before the first quarter was finished, giving KSU a 7-1 lead at the end of the first. This offensive explosion was made possible by an 8-1 draw control lead and 13-3 shot advantage. Cohen Ridenour scored her second goal of the game to start off the second quarter, before Sarah Walden scored the first goal of her career, giving the Owls a 9-1 lead. The Hornets were able to score a pair of goals to cut the KSU lead to 9-3. The Owls ended the half with Shore finding the net for the first time in the game and Tinker scoring the final goal of the first half, man-down to provide an 11-3 lead at halftime. The first half saw KSU live in Delaware State territory, constantly pressuring the Hornets defense with 24 shots. The Owls kept the pedal down in the third quarter, which saw Shore achieve a hat-trick for the third straight week. Charyak and Marleigh Belinfanti also added goals to push the Owl lead to 16-4 headed into the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter featured two more players scoring their first career goals, Juliana Brawner and Sam Wiles, who had two goals, including the final goal of the game to cap off a 19-6 Kennesaw State victory.

  • Sarah Walden, Sam Wiles, and Juliana Brawner all scored their first career goals.
  • KSU held a significant edge in shots (36-12), ground balls (14-4), and draw controls (21-5)
