FARMVILLE, Ga. – Senior Hannah Barth posted her second five-goal game of the season to lead Kennesaw State to a 15-11 road win at Longwood in college women's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon in Farmville, Va. The Owls not only improved to a school-record 4-1 with the victory, they have also now matched last year's entire win total with one game left in the first month of the season.
KEY PLAYERS: Barth finished the game with three assists and eight points. Caroline Farley netted three goals, Natalie Welch added two goals, and Hannah Davis recorded two goals and an assist. Alyssa Angelo took control of the circle with eight draw controls against the Lancers.
THE RUNDOWN: This game was a back-and-forth battle after Longwood scored first within the first 45 seconds of the game. The Owls matched the goal later in the first quarter and continued to grow the lead to end the quarter 3-2. The Owls took control in the second quarter after scoring four consecutive goals against the Lancers, leading into a halftime lead of 7-5. After the teams traded goals throughout the third quarter, the Lancers came back to tie 10-10 going into the fourth quarter. KSU then took over, scoring four unanswered goals for a four-goal advantage, then added a final score with 10 seconds left on the clock to close the game with the 15-11 victory.

NOTES
-The win was the second road victory for KSU this season, after recording just one in 2023.
-This was the first-ever win for KSU in the four-game series against the Lancers.
-The Owls held a 43-24 edge on total shots, 34-20 on shots on goal.
-Julie Weiss (five saves) and Errin Crowe (six saves) split the time in goal for KSU.
-Mia MacKenzie led the team in ground balls (three) and caused turnovers (two).
