QUOTABLE:
"Today hurt, we got started off slow and dug ourselves in a hole early. Unfortunately, we got six yellow cards and two green cards, this has never happened before to us. Man-down penalties really put a strain on defense. I admire our fight though to be in a battle through this adversity. Our Younger players continue to step up offensively especially Shannon and
Allie White. Our draw unit in
Jaxsyn Schonewille,
Bailey Wilson and
Lauren Dobbs contribute to thrive in this area. We just need to start our next game with more fire."
-KSU Head Coach Laura Maness
NOTES:
-The Owls did have a 31-25 edge on shots and 22-20 on shots on goal.
-KSU was whistled for six yellow cards on the afternoon and two green cards, leading to several man-up possessions for the home team. Four of Radford's first seven goals came on a man-up situation.
NEXT TIME OUT: The Owls begin a three-game homestand, starting on Saturday, March 11 at 3 p.m. against Wofford at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
