Entering Saturday with a program-best 6-1 start and winners of six straight following a 17-3 victory over Gardner-Webb, Kennesaw State remains in Big South play against Presbyterian College. The conference clash is scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff at Bailey Memorial Stadium, and can be seen on Peachtree TV in Atlanta or heard on ESPN Radio 1230 and 106.3.

- Riding a school record six-game winning streak, Kennesaw State treks to Presbyterian College for a Big South Conference showdown at Bailey Memorial Stadium in Clinton, S.C. The Owls are 2-1 on the road this season averaging 28.3 points per game and 456.7 total yards of offense -- outscoring opponents 85-70.
- Kennesaw State enters the week as the nation's best rushing team, averaging 333.0 yards per game on the ground. The Owls are coming off a 319-yard performance versus Gardner-Webb, and a school-record 498 yards two weeks ago at Liberty to propel the Owls to a 2-0 mark in conference action.
- The win over Gardner-Webb extended the Owls' winning streak to six games, marking the best start in in their young history. Kennesaw State is averaging 32 points per game, 437.5 yards, and 339.7 rushing yards per game during the streak -- outscoring opponents 192-96.
- In addition to leading the country in rushing, the Owls are ranked 16th nationally in total offense (452.9), 35th in scoring offense (30.7), 13th in time of possession (32:48) and 26th in Red Zone offense (85%).
- The Owls have converted 53% of their third-down attempts over the last three games (25/47) after converting just 38% in the previous three games (14/37). KSU is ranked 11th nationally in third-down conversions (47%), jumping 24 spots in the national rankings over the last three games.
- The defense has been just as strong, as KSU enters Saturday ranked sixth nationally against the run (79.6), second nationally in most interceptions (15), third in turnover margin ( 11) and 15th in points allowed (17.7). The opportunistic Owls are feasting off takeaways by out-pacing opponents 68-10 in points-off-turnover scoring this season.
- Kennesaw State and No. 2-ranked North Dakota State are the only two teams nationally to be ranked in the top-10 in both rushing offense and rushing defense. The Owls are first in rushing offense and sixth in rushing defense, while the Bison are fourth in both statistics.
- The Owls have recorded at least one interception in every game this season and their 15 are second-most nationally. Keon Roman, who ranks seventh nationally in INT per game, leads the team with four, followed by Bryson Armstrong (three), Taylor Henkle (two) and Akebren Ralls (two). Ralls is coming off a two-INT game vs. Gardner-Webb as is the Big South Defensive Player of the Week. Four other Owls have on each.
- During this six-game winning streak, KSU is outscoring opponents 192-96, averaging 437.5 yards per game and 32.0 points per game. The team has rushed for 339.7 yards per game over the last six wins.
- In the first half this season, the Owls own a 151-40 advantage in points and are out-gaining opponents by a 1,901-884 margin ( 1,017 yards). Kennesaw State has led at the half in every game this season, and holds an 18-3 all-time record when doing so.
A WIN AT PRESBYTERIAN WOULD…
- Hand the Owls their seventh straight victory, extending the longest winning streak in program history.
- Give the Owls their first 3-0 start in conference play.
- Improve KSU's record to 8-6 all-time in conference games.
- Give Kennesaw State its second victory over Presbyterian in three tries.
- Give the road team the first victory in the series.
- Improve the Owls' road record to 3-1 this season.
- Improve KSU's record to 14-4 all-time in day games.
LOOKING BACK AT THE PROGRAMS' HISTORY
- The Owls overwhelmed the Blue Hose in their second matchup in history at Fifth Third Bank Stadium on Nov. 12, 2016, defeating PC 45-10 on Senior Day.
- Then-sophomore QB Chandler Burks, who is set for his third career start vs. PC on Saturday, threw for a career-high three touchdowns to pace the offense in 2016.
- Burks was an efficient 6-of-10 passing for 169 yards and TD passes to three different Owls. Then-sophomore WR Xavier Harper caught three passes for a career-high 121 yards and a TD.
- The series is tied 1-1 entering Saturday, with each team winning on its home field.
- The Owls concluded their historic inaugural season with a 14-6 loss to Presbyterian on Nov. 21, 2015 in Clinton, S.C.
- Kennesaw State's then-QB Trey White led all rushers with 155 yards on 31 carries, while Darnell Holland rushed for 55 yards on nine carries in the game.
- KSU finished the season 6-5 overall and 2-4 in conference play, becoming just the third Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) program since 2008 to post a winning season in its debut year.
