Previewing the Blue Hose in 2017
Kennesaw State enters Saturday riding a program-best 6-1 start and winners of six straight games, and looks to go 3-0 in Big South action when it challenges Presbyterian at Bailey Memorial Stadium. The Owls and Blue Hose are 1-1 all-time against each other, as KSU is coming off a 45-10 victory in 2016 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. The game will conclude a seven-game homestand for Presbyterian and enters the weekend with a 3-4 overall record. Linebacker Grant Beidel ranks second in the Big South with 70 tackles, leading the defensive unit. He ranks 17th in the FCS this season in tackles. QB Ben Cheek enters Saturday ranked second in the conference in completion percentage, completions per game, passing efficiency, passing yards and yards per attempt to lead the offensive group. Presbyterian finished the 2016 season with a 2-9 overall record, and finished 1-4 overall in Big South action.
