Game Preview
With the regular season only having three games remaining, every game is important coming down the stretch.
This weekend, KSU hosts Central Michigan on Friday, April 22 at 5 p.m. and then will have senior day against Detroit on Sunday, April 24 at noon.
Central Michigan is a first year program and got its first A-Sun win last weekend in an overtime victory against Stetson this past Sunday. Overall, the Chippewas are 5-7 in their first season.
Then on senior day, the team will host Detroit on Sunday, April 24 at noon.
Kennesaw State Team Notes

Kyra Fitzgerald,
Jessica Alderdice and
Brittany Jackson are the first senior class to be part of the team for four years as the three of them were part of the inaugural team in 2013. To hear about their journey at Kennesaw State, fans can watch this video feature

• Kennesaw State is coming off of a weekend where they went 1-1, beating Howard and then dropping its final game of the weekend to Old Dominion. The Owls sit at 2-3 in the A-Sun and hold the sixth spot in the standings. They are one game clear of Central Michigan, going into Friday's game against the Chippewas.
• Going into the weekend,
Olivia Hokanson has scored 32 goals and has seven assists to have 39 points on the season. She is only eight points away from matching her career high set in 2014.
• After Hokanson's 32 goals, the Owls have three other players that have scored double-figure goals this season.
Connor Zophy has put in 18,
Sydney Farwick has scored 14,
Taylor Catts has scored 11 and
Monica Albertson has scored 10. Three other players have scored nine goals.
•
Laura Jordan is coming off of a big defensive weekend as she picked up nine ground balls, caused four turnovers and won four draw controls. She leads the team with 17 caused turnovers.
• Four freshman attackers have stepped up in their first season on the field for the Owls.

Haley Swift and
Jackie Kisthardt have all combined to have 42 points.

Haley O'Donoghue is quietly having a really nice season on the defensive side of the ball for KSU. She is in the top three on the team in ground balls, caused turnovers and draw controls.
• Since taking over the starting spot in goal,
Lauren Hoffman has gone 3-3 defeating St. Mary's, Stetson and Howard. In those six games, she has made 36 saves including a career high nine against Howard.
Next Up
The Owls will have one regular season game left against Furman in Greenville, South Carolina on Wednesday, April 27 at 4 p.m. It will be the third meeting between the two teams.
