Kennesaw State Team Notes

• Kennesaw State is coming off of a weekend where they went 1-1, beating Howard and then dropping its final game of the weekend to Old Dominion. The Owls sit at 2-3 in the A-Sun and hold the sixth spot in the standings. They are one game clear of Central Michigan, going into Friday's game against the Chippewas.
• Going into the weekend, Olivia Hokanson has scored 32 goals and has seven assists to have 39 points on the season. She is only eight points away from matching her career high set in 2014.
• After Hokanson's 32 goals, the Owls have three other players that have scored double-figure goals this season. Connor Zophy has put in 18, Sydney Farwick has scored 14, Taylor Catts has scored 11 and Monica Albertson has scored 10. Three other players have scored nine goals.
Laura Jordan is coming off of a big defensive weekend as she picked up nine ground balls, caused four turnovers and won four draw controls. She leads the team with 17 caused turnovers.
• Four freshman attackers have stepped up in their first season on the field for the Owls. Shannon Moore, Taylor Catts, Haley Swift and Jackie Kisthardt have all combined to have 42 points.
Haley O'Donoghue is quietly having a really nice season on the defensive side of the ball for KSU. She is in the top three on the team in ground balls, caused turnovers and draw controls.
• Since taking over the starting spot in goal, Lauren Hoffman has gone 3-3 defeating St. Mary's, Stetson and Howard. In those six games, she has made 36 saves including a career high nine against Howard.
