Tennis Preview
The Kennesaw State men's tennis squad enter the weekend one win shy of giving Director of Tennis, Eduardo Rincon, the most wins in a single season since he was hired. The Owls are, in fact, three wins shy of breaking a single-season record for most wins.
 
Coach Rincon's ninth win could occur Saturday afternoon, as the Owls welcome FGCU to jumpstart Atlantic Sun Conference play. The dual match is set to begin at 4 p.m.   
 
The Series
Kennesaw State will entered the weekend with a 2-4 mark against the Eagles all-time. FGCU, in fact, has won the last three matches over KSU, but the Owls two of the first three matches in programs' history dating back to 2008.
 
The Last Time Out
Drew Wendel proved to be a factor over the day for the Kennesaw State men's tennis team, winning both his doubles and singles matches over Georgia Southern. But, the Owls (8-4) dropped the mid-week dual match to the Eagles (10-4) by a final 4-2 score.

Wendel teamed up with David Durham and won their doubles match over Georgia Southern before the Lawrenceville, Georgia native defeated the Eagles in his singles match, 6-2, 6-1.

In singles play, freshman Sam Slade, who hails from Alpharetta, Georgia, also took his singles match. Slade defeated the Eagles in two sets, taking a 6-2, 6-2 final.

Next Up
The Owls will welcome continue ASUN Conference slate, hitting the road to take on Stetson (March 31) and North Florida (April 2). The matches are set to begin at 4 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
