WILMINGTON, N.C. — No. 71 Kennesaw State men's tennis lost its first match in a month with a 4-0 defeat at UNCW on Friday afternoon.
KSU fell down 0-1 early with losses in both No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.
Leon Peranovic and
Anthony Weingarten were defeated 3-6 by UNCW's Lukas Steffen and William Dean.
Ben Hudson and
Dominic Ducariu stumbled 2-6 against the Seahawks' Alex Degabriele and Brady Hussey.
Hudson and Weingarten were defeated on courts one and four to start singles play. Hudson's loss came to Steffen 2-6, 3-6, while Weingarten fell to Oscar Baumgartner 4-6, 4-6. UNCW then locked up the match with a court-three win in three sets (3-6, 6-3, 6-3) by Jordi Domenech against KSU's Ducariu.
