The Owls and Chanticleers both began their programs in 2013.
Kennesaw State Team Notes• This season Kennesaw State has already had 13 players score goals through five games. Last season, the Owls had 13 goal scorers total for the season. Against Longwood alone, Kennesaw State had 10 different players score in the game.

Olivia Hokanson is back this season after sitting out the 2015 season with an injury, and she has picked up right where she left off. Hokanson leads the Owls with 11 goals after five games. With scoring in all five games, Hokanson has scored in 12 straight games dating back to 2014. In fact, out of the 18 games she has played in in her career, she has only been held scoreless in two of them.

Lucy Mills had one of the best games of her career against Gardner Webb as she finished with seven points scoring four goals and dishing out three assists. The seven points matches a career high for her and the four goals is the second most she has had in a game. Mills netted five goals against Mercer a season ago.
• All nine freshmen have seen the field for Kennesaw State through five games and they are providing a spark for the Owls. On the offensive end,
Haley Swift,
Taylor Catts and
Shannon Moore have combined for 14 points as Swift has five, Catts has five and Moore has four.
• Against Gardner Webb another freshman stepped up as
Jackie Kisthardt got into the action scoring her first two career goals in the first half to keep the Owls in the game.
• The Owls have posted a season high in ground balls the last two games. The team picked up 29 against Gardner Webb and collected 24 against Longwood.
Next UpThe Owls will continue their three game road trip as they head to Radford to play on Sunday, March 20 at 3 p.m. It will be the first meeting between the teams.
