Fourth Time in Four Seasons the Teams are Playing

Game Preview
Kennesaw State will host the Davidson Wildcats as part of the Cobb County Classic on Saturday, February 20 at 5 p.m. It will be the third game of the day in the event. The Owls have played Davidson in its first three seasons and has an 0-3 record against the Wildcats. This season, both teams come into the game at 0-1 as KSU fell to Vanderbilt it its season opener and Davidson lost to Virginia Tech.
 
Kennesaw State Team Notes
• The Owls are coming off of their best season in their short history as they accumulated five wins and landed the five seed in the Atlantic Sun Tournament in 2015.
Sydney Farwick and Laura Jordan both landed on the Preseason A-Sun All-Conference Team.
• Last season, the Owls had three team members named second team All Atlantic Sun members. They were Farwick, Jordan and Taylor McGhee. Jordan was also named to the All-Freshman team.
• After KSU's opening game, the Owls swept Atlantic Sun weekly awards as Connor Zophy was Player of the Week after scoring two goals and one assists and Elaine Bradley was named Defensive Player of the Week after making 11 saves in 35 minutes of action.
• In Olivia Hokanson's first action back with the Owls since her freshman season, she picked up just where she left off. The leading goal scorer in 2014, scored two goals against Vandy. For her career she has scored five goals against the Commodores.
Sydney Farwick was heavily involved in the action as she totaled three points in the game with a goal and two assists to total three points.
• Eight freshmen made their Kennesaw State debut against Vanderbilt.
Lucy Mills was all over the field against Vanderbilt as she led the team in ground balls with four and draw controls with three. She also finished with two points on a goal and an assist.
 
Next Up
Kennesaw State will host Siena on Thursday, February 25 at noon. It will be the first meeing between KSU and the Saints.
