Game PreviewAfter opening the season with three of its first four matches, the Kennesaw State soccer team will hit the road for five-straight matches, starting with a trip to Charleston, S.C., for the Charleston Cup this weekend. The Owls will face off against the College of Charleston on Friday (Sept. 4) at 7 p.m. ET, before taking on The Citadel on Sunday (Sept. 6) at 2 p.m.
This will be the fifth all-time meeting between the Owls and the Cougars with KSU holding a 4-0-0 advantage in the series, including a 1-0 win in the teams' last meeting on Aug. 26, 2011 in Kennesaw. On Sunday, Kennesaw State and The Citadel will meet for the very first time in the history of each program.
Owls Battle Lakers to 1-1 Double Overtime TieIn a back-and-forth physical battle, the Kennesaw State soccer team earned a 1-1 double overtime tie with Clayton State on Sunday night (Aug. 30) at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

KSU Team Notes- The first set of NCAA rankings released on Wednesday, the Owls registered top-10 rankings in total goals (fifth, 16), total points (sixth, 42), scoring offense (sixth, 4.00) and points per game (eighth, 10.50).
- The Owls also ranked 23rd in total assists with 10 and 31st in assists per contest with 2.5.
- The Owls have outscored their opponents by a margin of 16-4, while also outshooting their foes 89-22 through four games.

Kim Fincher netted her second goal of the season against Clayton State and now ranks third on the team with six points in her first season with the Owls.

Cassidy Kemp ranks second on squad and is tied for third in the Atlantic Sun Conference with seven points on three goals and an assist. Kemp's three goals also rank in a tie for second in the league.
