KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State women's soccer fell to Auburn, 4-0, at Walens Family Field at Fifth Third Stadium. The Tigers led 2-0 for a majority of the second half before two goals in the final five minutes doubled their lead.
First Half
Auburn was peppering shots to start the contest, recording three in the first 10 minutes. They earned their first corner in the 13
th minute.
Charlee Bernal overcommitted on the initial service and Gracie Brown scored on an open net.
The Tigers kept attacking, outshooting the Owls 9-2 for the remainder of the half, but KSU was able to keep the deficit at one.
Second Half
Five minutes into the second half, Auburn extended its lead. The Tigers made a couple of connecting passes to get the ball inside the box. Ava Caldwell took one touch and slotted it past Bernal.
The score would hold until the 86
th minute. Auburn built up play from the left flank. A cross found Emma Musiek who converted the chance. A minute later
Lara Kennedy committed a foul in the box, leading to a penalty kick. Bernal chose the correct side, but the shot got just by her.

The Owls will travel to Tennessee Tech on Sunday to take on the Golden Eagles. The match is schedule for 2 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.
