KENNESAW, Ga. – Holding a two-goal lead at halftime, Kennesaw State women's lacrosse dominated the second half by an 8-2 margin to claim its second straight win with a 15-7 victory over Presbyterian on Saturday afternoon from Fifth Third Stadium. The Owls improved to 4-6 overall with the win, their fifth straight over the Blue Hose in the all-time series.

Shannon Harrington led all players with a five-goal performance.
Alyssa Angelo meanwhile had a team-high four assists and added a goal for five points as well. Freshman
Marleigh Belinfanti and
Lexi Tinker each added a hat trick as well to pace the Owls. In the net,
Natalia Cruz came off the bench to when it was a one-goal game and held the Blue Hose to just three goals over the next 43 minutes while collecting eight saves.
THE RUNDOWN: Four different Owls scored in the first nine minutes to put KSU up 4-1. Presbyterian responded with three straight score to tie the game at 4-4. Belinfanti then scored on a man-up situation for a 5-4 edge with 2:38 left, and that was the last score of the game for the next 16 minutes. Tinker broke the drought with a score at 1:36 of the second quarter and put the Owls up 7-5, and then scored the first of the third while Belinfani added another goal for a 9-5 KSU edge. Presbyterian stopped the run with a goal at 6:20 to close within 9-5.
Lavona Watkins then notched a goal at 1:24 to start a run of six unanswered scores for a 15-6 advantage with just six minutes to play.
NOTES
-KSU not only dominated on offense with a 37-24 shot edge and 22-15 on shots on goal, the Owls also finished with an 8-7 edge in saves.
-KSU took advantage of its free position opportunities, scoring on five of eight chances, while Presbyterian was limited to just two goals out of nine tries.
NEXT UP: The Owls open Atlantic Sun Conference play with a home game against Lindenwood on Saturday, March 22 at 12 p.m. at Fifth Third Stadium.
