SAN MARCOS, Tx. – One run separated Kennesaw State (2-1) from Northwestern State (2-3) Saturday evening with the Owls securing a 1-0 victory.
Sophomore
Kenley Hilleary tossed her first complete game of the season and the eighth of her career. She tallied seven innings, allowing just three hits and racking up nine strikeouts. She also earned the second win of the season.
The Owls only needed one run to take the win as freshman
Abby Hammett singled through the middle in the top of the fourth inning to bring in
Macie Howes. Howes had reached after hitting a double, the lone extra base hit of the evening.
ON DECK
The Owls will face Creighton Sunday afternoon at 12:45 p.m. ET to finalize their run in the Texas State Tournament.
