DALLAS – Kennesaw State softball will begin the Conference USA portion of its 2027 schedule on March 12 with a three-game road trip at Sam Houston, the league announced as part of its official schedule unveiling on Wednesday.
The 2027 season marks
Selena Collins-Patterson's second year at the helm with the Owls. Her first season in charged saw the Owls break the Division I single-game hits record with 20 base hits.
The Black and Gold will play every conference opponent in a three-game series this season, with four of them being at Bailey Park and five on the road.
After its road series against the Bearkats, KSU's CUSA home slate begins March 19 versus Florida International. The Owls will travel again – this time to Middle Tennessee – before opening the month of April against Missouri State on April 2. It'll be the first time the Bears visit the Owls as members of Conference USA. Collins-Patterson got her first CUSA win at Missouri State last season.
KSU will then hit the road again the following weekend for a series with NM State in Las Cruces before hosting the Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens for the first time in program history on April 16.
The final three series will alternate away-home-away starting with Liberty on April 23. The Black and Gold's final series at Bailey Park will be against Western Kentucky on May 1. KSU will wrap up the regular season with the defending conference champs, Jax State, in Alabama starting May 6. The Gamecocks will also host the conference tournament which starts on Wednesday, May 12.
