RUSTON, La. -Â Six Owls finished with six or more tackles on the day, but Kennesaw State dropped a 33-0 decision to Louisiana Tech on Saturday afternoon at Joe Aillet Stadium.

Despite having several key injured players, Kennesaw State's defense fought valiantly, recording three sacks on the day, pushing the Bulldogs (5-7, 4-4 Conference USA) back 38 yards total on the day. Overall, the Owl defense broke or tied seven career highs on Saturday.

Unfortunately, the offense struggled to find its groove, only racking up 146 total yards and holding possession for under 23 minutes.

Leading the Owls (2-10, 2-6 CUSA) on defense was defensive back Tyler Hallum, who set a new career high with eight tackles. Linebackers Donelius Johnson and Jamar Rucks, and defensive backs Isaac Paul, Five Hamilton and JeRico Washington Jr. all finished with six tackles, while Rucks recorded a sack.

Defensive lineman Jordan Miles and wide receiver Blake Bohannon combined for two career firsts, as well, as Miles forced his first career fumble on a punt return in the fourth quarter. Bohannon was there to recover the fumble, giving him his first of his career.

Offensively, quarterback Davis Bryson finished 10-of-26 on the day for 88 yards. Wideout Gabriel Benyard amassed 39 receiving yards, while running back Michael Benefield led the ground attack with 36 yards on nine carries.
