KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State Athletics announced Wednesday that the schematic design phase has been completed for the Wellstar Champions Complex, the 55,000-square-foot future daily home for Kennesaw State football.
The Wellstar Champions Complex will provide locker rooms, coaching offices, training facilities, academic spaces, and modern operational areas designed to elevate every aspect of the program. The facility will serve as the heartbeat of KSU football, creating an environment where champions are developed both on and off the field.
"These new facilities will provide Kennesaw State student-athletes with elite-level amenities that dramatically enhance recruiting capabilities and efficiency," said Director of Athletics
Milton Overton. "They will provide our Owls with the tools they need to compete at the highest levels."
It will also increase the efficiency of daily operations by providing a shorter access point between football operations, Owls' practice fields, and Walens Family Field at Fifth Third Stadium.
"This is a special moment for Kennesaw State athletics and for our football program," head football coach
Jerry Mack said. "The Wellstar Champions Complex is a significant investment in the future of our football operation and will provide our players, coaches and staff resources and an environment to operate at a high level. I want to thank AD Overton, President Schwaig and the USG Board of Regents for their leadership and vision."
