CLINTON, S.C. –
Chiara Singarella added an assist and scored the game-winning goal in the 79
th minute for her first career goal to lead the Kennesaw State women's soccer team past Presbyterian 2-1 on Thursday night.
Stella Allen scored for the second time this season and
Allanah Blye earned her first start at goalkeeper, posting five saves in the win.
KSU improved to 4-0 all-time against the Blue Hose and now has a 30-0-2 record over teams from the Big South.
Presbyterian tested the true freshman goalkeeper early, getting several looks but Blye had three quick saves in the first 10 minutes.
Allen opened the scoring for KSU in the 27
th minute by receiving a great pass from Singarella and converted the scoring opportunity by striking the ball past the goalkeeper for the score.
PC answered ten minutes into the second half, as Sloan Spees found the back of the net to tie the match at 1-1.
In the 79
th minute, Singarella once again made another play for the Owls, this time breaking through the Presbyterian defense with a one-on-one opportunity against the goalkeeper and scored the game-winning goal to solidify the 2-1 victory for Kennesaw State.

The Owls host the in-state Georgia Bulldogs Sunday at 6 p.m. at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
