Final Results
Natchitoches, La. – The men's and women's track and field teams finished competition at the Leon Johnson NSU Invitational at Walter P. Ledet Track Complex on Satuday (Apr.9).

Andy Eggerth said. "We had a lot of great results today with setting more pr's, a meet record, and another school records. We are continuing to make strides to the A-Sun Championships in a few weeks."
The women's team strung together a bunch of strong performances on day two of the meet.
Laura-Maria Oja notched a third place finish in the 100m-dash in 12.41 seconds.
Dollitia Thomas was second in the 400m-dash in 56.02 seconds and Maleka Slayton was fourth in 57.02 seconds.
Andzelika Bobrova won the 800m race in 2:17.48.
Paulette Juieng ran a strong personal record time of 5:0.99 to finish second in the 1500m run.
Amanda Cope crossed the finish line in the 3000m in 12:02.40 to finish in second place.
Kidan Kidane continued her strong season collecting another win in the 5000m with a meet-record time of 17:24.36.
Jocselyn Powell grabbed a third place finish in the 100m hurdles (14.18) and then came back later and took home a second place finish in the 400m hurdles in 1:02.53.
Shakedra Robinson tied for first in the high jump after clearing 1.71m (5'7.25).
The Owls took home the top four places in the ladies pole vault.
Jacy Robertson took home the victory after clearing 3.49m (11-5.25). Senior
Shawna Lehman was second clearing 3.34m (10'11.5).
Morgan Campbell jumped 12.16m (39'10.75) to finish second in the triple jump.
Shermaine Pinkard finished second in the hammer throw with a school record toss of 54.89m (180-1).
On the men's side,
Taylor Huntley won the 800m race in 1:53.05 by 4.46 seconds over the next collegiate in the race.
Jordan Hand (16:36.82) and
Derick Kinyanjui (16:53.39) took home the top two places in the 5000m race.
Terrell Singleton continued his impressive season winning the 110m hurdles race in 14.99 seconds.
Simone Colombini collected his second win of the year in the 3000m steeplechase crossing the finish in 9:35.24.
In the men's field events,
Brenton Rosa and
Hunter Arnold both cleared 4.88m (16'0) in the pole vault with Rosa winning in a jump off.
Andre Dorsey grabbed a pair of second place finishes in the triple jump (15.62m 51'3) and the javelin (54.70m 179.05).
Martynas Sedys grabbed a victory in the hammer throw with a toss of 60.94m (199'1) as the Owls would take home the top four spots in event.
The Owls will return to action at the South Alabama Invitational in Mobile, Alabama (Apr.14-16).
