Came in thid place in the weight throw with a 16.92m at the A-Sun Championship as well.
2013-14
Outdoor
Best shot put of the season came at the USF Collegiate where she tossed a 13.05m (42’9.75”)… In the hammer, Pinkard threw 46.53m (120’6”) at the War Eagle Invitational.
Indoor
Won a gold medal in the A-Sun Championship with a toss of 13.53m in the shot put… Came in sixth place in the weight throw with a 14.68m at the A-Sun Championship as well.
2012-13
Outdoor
Won the discus event at the Georgia Relays (44.04m/144-06 ft.)… Also, competed in the shot put.
Indoor
Earned the Women’s Most Outstanding Freshman Athlete… Finished second on the podium in the weight throw (16.67m/54-08.25 ft.) at the Atlantic Sun Championships… Longest throw in the weight throw came at the Niswonger Invitational (17.32m/56-10.00)… Placed fifth at the A-Sun Championship in the shot put (12.72m/41-08.75 ft.).
High School
Set a new school record in both the shot put and discus… Two-time Region Champion… Won the sectional finals in both shot put and discus… Won MVP every year while on the track and field team.
Personal
Shermaine J’mae Pinkard was born to Vandetta and Sherman Pinkard in Macon, Ga.… Her favorite athlete is Paul Pierce and her favorite food is Blackberry Cobbler… Enjoys spending time with her niece and the rest of her family… Early Childhood Education Major.
