Competed in seven meets during the season ... opened with a pair of wins at the Emory Invitational jumping 7.40m (24'3.5) in the long jump and 15.76m (51'8.5) in the triple jump to earn ASUN Field Athlete of the Week ... Broke the school record in the high jump with a clearance of 2.17m (7'1.5) to collect a win at the Yellow Jacket Invitational ... set the school record in the triple jump at the Florida Relays with a leap of 16.10m (52'10) ...also jumped 7.68m (25'2.5) in the long jump at Florida Relays to finish third ...improved on school record in the long jump with a leap of 7.79m (25'6.25) at the Leon Johnson Invitational ...won six medals at the ASUN Outdoor Championships ... took home a gold medal in the 4x100m relay, long jump, triple jump, and javelin ... collected silver medals in the high jump and shot put ...named Atlantic Sun Conference Outdoor Championships Most Valuable Performer and Most Outstanding Field Performer ... competed in the long jump, high jump, and triple jump at NCAA East Regionals and advanced to the finals in Oregon in the high jump and long jump. Opened the season with a win in the high jump (2.15m, 7-0.5) and a second place in the triple jump (15.41m, 50-6.75) ... Won the heptathlon at the Jack Johnson Classic with a meet record 5644 points ... Set new school heptathlon records in the 60m (6.88), long jump (7.18m, 23-6.75), and triple jump (14.84m, 48-8.25) ... Won the high jump (2.16m, 7-1), long jump (7.18m, 23'6.75) and triple jump (14.84m, 48-8.25) en route to earning Most Outstanding Performer and Most Outstanding Field Performer honors ... Placed 14th at the NCAA Championships in the triple jump with a jump of 15.59m/51-05.75 ft... Earned the Most Valuable Athlete Award for the second year in a row after racking up an individual meet-high total of 47 overall points… Set an Atlantic Sun Championship record in the triple jump (15.72m/51-07.0 ft.)… Dorsey’s farthest triple jump of the year came at the Yellow Jacket Invitational (15.92m/52-02.75 ft.) where he placed first… Won the Atlantic Sun Championship in the Javelin (54.8m/179-09 ft.).

Finished in 11th at the NCAA Championships (15.72m/51-5.57)... Named Most Valuable Performer of the Atlantic Sun Championship after totaling 36 points… Dorsey claimed two titles, winning the triple jump (16.04m/52-07.5) and the high jump (2.18m/7-01.75 ft.)… Also, placed in the long jump, weight throw, and shot put… Placed first in the triple jump at the Niswonger Invitational with a jump of 15.69m/51-05.5 ft.

Tabbed the Atlantic Sun Outdoor Championship Most Outstanding Freshman Performer after also receiving the Most Valuable Performer honor for garnering 31 points at the 2012 A-Sun meet... Dorsey placed in the top-seven of five events, which included top-three performances in three events; javelin (1st; 56.07m), high jump (2nd; 2.01m) and triple jump (3rd; 14.35m)... Was selected as an All Atlantic Sun Conference first team member for the Javelin and all Atlantic Sun Conference second team member for the High Jump along with an All Atlantic Sun Conference third team member for the Triple Jump during the outdoor season…He was selected as an all Atlantic Sun Conference second team member for the High Jump during the indoor season…Dorsey had 10 total top-5 finishes for the 2012 season.

Earned four varsity letters at Chalmette High School…Jumped a PR of 6-11 in the High Jump at LHSAA State Outdoor Championship, placing first and setting a school record…Earned All-State honors in High Jump (6-11) and Triple Jump (47’10.75)…Set his high school’s triple jump record at 48’4…Scored 20 out of the 21 points at the LHSAA State Meet.
