Extras!...
- Tuesday night's between KSU and Georgia Southern matchup marked the 21st meeting between the two teams, and the sixth consecutive season the two teams have played against each other.
- The meeting marked the ninth time the Owls and Eagles have met over the past 11 seasons, dating back to 2006 when the Owls turned Division I joining the Atlantic Sun Conference.
- Prior to the night, the Owls and Eagles played two, 11-inning games in the all-time series.
- The game marked the longest contest in series history.
- The last time the Owls played a 13-inning game was against Jacksonville State on March 3, 2014 in a 7-5 victory –falling three outs shy of reaching that mark.

Big Thunder Making Noise..
- Tony Dibrell made his second start of the season under head coach Mike Sansing on the bump Tuesday night.
- The sophomore tossed 4.2 innings, allowing two earned runs and recorded a career-high nine strikeouts.
- For the season, the righty has compiled a 0-0 record and a 4.50 ERA in three appearances (two starts). Dibrell has tossed 12.0 innings and leads the team with 21 strikeouts to just four walks.

Pitching Rotation Set…
- LHP Chris Erwin will toe the rubber on Friday night. He will enter the game with a 1-1 record and a 9.88 ERA in three starts. The lefty is 1-0 with a 5.56 ERA over his last two starts against Jacksonville State and UAB in 11.1 innings of work.
- RHP Gabe Friese will be the Owls' Saturday guy on the bump, entering the weekend with a 1-1 record and a 2.35 ERA. Friese has thrown 15.1 frames, which ranks second on the team, and has recorded 12 punch outs.
- Sophomore RHP AJ Moore will close things out on Sunday, entering the game with a 1-0 record and a 2.65 ERA. Moore has thrown a team-high 17.0 innings, recording 16 strikeouts on the year – which is one shy of Dibrell's team-high 17 strikeouts.
- Moore is coming off a career-high 7.0 innings pitched against UAB last Sunday at Regions Field.

Hot At The Plate…
- Over the last four games, Jeremy Howell, LaDonis Bryant and Grant Williams have provided a 1-2-3 punch at the plate.

- Bryant also owns a .500 batting average, going 5-for-10 at the play in all four games. He has three RBI over that time and a .545 on-base percentage.
- Meanwhile, Erwin has continued his good hitting from a season ago, and totaled a .364 batting average over the last three games with three RBI and a .364 slugging percentage.

Team Facts Thus Far…
- The Owls have outscored opponents 58-38 in the second, fourth, sixth and ninth innings combined, and are a an impressive 5-1 when scoring first in a ballgame.
- Kennesaw State has done well when leading after six innings, holding a 5-1 mark when leads after six, a 5-1 mark when leading after seven and 4-1 when leading after eight.
- Part of that reason is the pitching duo of Richard Lovelady, who has become a vital part of the backend of the bullpen.
- Lovelady is 2-0—which leads the team in wins—in 9.1 innings of work on the mound. Lovelady has struck out 12 batters and has totaled a .207 opponent batting average against, allowing just six hits. He owns a team-high seven appearances.
