KENNESAW, Ga. - Kennesaw State head baseball coach Ryan Coe has announced the promotion of Wade Richardson to Director of Baseball Operations, following two seasons in a graduate assistant role with the program. Richardson will fill the role vacated by Terence Norman, who is now Associate Director of Development for KSU Athletics.
"Wade has done a great job for us, and this promotion is well deserved," Coe said. "We're looking forward to what he brings to this new role."
A native of Powder Springs, Ga., Richardson played for the Owls from 2023-24 after beginning his career at Columbia State Community College. After graduation, he remained with the program as a graduate assistant, serving as Director of Player Development. In his new role, Richardson will oversee all baseball operations for the program.
"I want to thank Coach Coe for the opportunity to remain on staff," said Richardson. "I'm blessed to work with these coaches every day, and I'm looking forward to this new role and helping the program continue to grow."
During his playing career in Black and Gold, the infielder appeared in 54 games with 37 starts across two seasons, compiling a career .268 batting average with four doubles, a home run and 15 RBIs. A patient hitter, Richardson posted a career 15.4 percent walk rate and a near-equal strikeout-to-walk ratio.
As Director of Player Development, Richardson worked closely with the infielders, overseeing a 2026 defense that posted the program's best fielding percentage (.972) in team history.
Richardson graduated in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. While working as a graduate assistant coach for the Owls, he earned his master's degree in public administration in 2026.
