MTRACK: Hunter Arnold Grabs First Career Atlantic Sun Athlete of the Week Award

Won the Pole Vault at the Thundering Herd Invitational

KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State's Hunter Arnold earned the Atlantic Sun Men's  Indoor Field weekly award for the first time in his career following his performance at the Thundering Herd Invitational the conference announced Wednesday.

"Our conference has some tremendous field event athletes, so for Hunter to be selected as the A-Sun's field athlete of the week is a tremendous honor," director of track and field and cross country coach Andy Eggerth said. "He has continued to develop as a vaulter and is a great contributor to our team's success!"

Arnold took home a win in the pole vault with the highest vault  currently in the Atlantic Sun of 4.75m (15-7).  That vault tied the KSU indoor school record with tying him with Adam Reed, Michael Owenby, and Joshua Mulder.

Arnold and the Owls will Sunday February 7th at the Jaguar Invitational hosted by South Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama at the Birmingham Crossplex in their final regular season tune up before the Atlantic Sun Indoor Championships.
