In The Hole
• The Kennesaw State baseball team picks its schedule back up after having last weekend off with a midweek contest with Georgia State Wednesday evening. The Owls will enter the week with a 25-21 overall record in 46 games.
• The Owls will play four home games this week, wrapping up their 2015 regular-season home schedule with a non-conference battle with Georgia State before hosting Jacksonville on May 8-10 at Stillwell Stadium.

Notes To Remember in 2015
• Then ranked 19th, Kennesaw State hosted 25th-ranked Liberty in the season opener at Stillwell Stadium. It marked the first time in program's history the Owls hosted a matchup of two teams inside the top 25. KSU went on to win the game, 11-9, with Kendall Hawkins earning the win on the mound.
• Head coach Mike Sansing won his 1,000th career game on March 27, 2015 against USC Upstate in a 5-0 final. Sansing is now in his 27th season at the helm of the program, and his 24th as the Owls' skipper.
• KSU landed the Team of the Year award at the Atlanta Sports Awards ceremony. Max Pentecost, 2014 Johnny Bench Award winner, also took home the Collegiate Athlete of the Year award. Coach Sansing was also a Coach of the Year finalist on March 5, 2015.
Jordan Hillyer was honored as one of seven Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week winners on March 23, 2015.
• The Owls' win on the road at Georgia Tech Tuesday (April 21) night marked the first time in program's history KSU defeated the Yellow Jackets in back-to-back seasons on the road. Kennesaw State defeated GT last year at Russ Chandler for the first time since 1989.
• KSU took 2-of-3 from Atlantic Sun Conference foe Lipscomb on the road on April 24-26, defeating the Bisons in a regular-season series for the first time since 2011. In fact, the Owls defeated Lipscomb in a series on the road for the first time since 2006.

On Deck
• The Owls will turn their attention towards the Panthers for a non-conference battle at Stillwell Stadium Wednesday night, playing in the second game of their scheduled home-and-home series.
• Kennesaw State will look to even the series at one game apiece after Georgia State defeated the Owls 13-3 on March 10.
• The Owls hold a slight 12-10 all-time record against the Panthers, as the two teams have gone back and forth over the past several years.  KSU holds a 7-6 edge since 2010, including a 4-1 stretch from 2011-12.

KSU vs In-State Rivals
• The Owls come into Wednesday's contest with a 4-4 record against teams in the state of Georgia. KSU owns wins against Mercer (Feb. 18), Georgia (April 15), Georgia Tech (April 21) and Savannah State (April 28).
• Kennesaw State has won its last three midweek games to teams inside the state of Georgia, holding teams to nine runs. The Owls' pitching staff has compiled a 2.00 ERA with Will Lowman recording two saves in three outings out of the bullpen.
• During the three-game stretch, the Owls have outscored their opponents 18-9, batting .255. KSU has totaled three doubles, two triple and 17 home runs to back the strong efforts on the mound.

Leading Off
• Kennesaw State and Georgia State will meet for the 23rd time all time, as the Owls hold a slight 12-10 record. The two clubs have played each other seven straight seasons, dating back to 2009. The two, entering Wednesday's showdown, are an even 7-7 since '09.
• The two teams date all the way back to 1984, which marked the Owls' first season as a program. Kennesaw State took the first two games of the all-time series, winning in back-to-back games and outscored the Panthers 11-9 in a tight two games.
