KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's tennis team defeated Jacksonville State in a 5-2 battle on Wednesday at Kennworth Park.
 
KSU opened the match with success in doubles action. Sophomore Jake Bouchillon teamed up with Freshman and Atlantic Sun Player of the Week Alejandro Valencia to take an 8-4 win over Jaryd Reese and Felipe Wenzel at No. 3 doubles.
 
The No. 2 team of Simon Pritchard/Jorge Wilton clinched the doubles point with an 8-3 victory over Dylan Gee/Mathias Chaim.
 
Kennesaw State remained successful throughout the day. Four Owls recorded singles victories, including Drew Wendel who defeated Felipe Diaz 7-6, 6-1 at No. 6 to clinch the match.
 
The Owls will move to 3-5 on the season and will be back in action for a 10 a.m. ET match on Saturday (Mar. 7) against Austin Peay at Kennworth Park.
