A LOOK AT THE MATCHUP …
The Kennesaw State women's basketball program will continue its three-game road trip before the Holiday season comes around, with its second contest on Saturday evening against Morehead State in a non-conference tilt. The two teams have met exactly once, with the Eagles taking a tight 50-49 final.

-  Kennesaw State has had FIVE players (Aareon Smith, Iceis Walker, Tayler Smith , Allison Johnson & Kelly Dulkoski) record career highs in points in just five games this season.
- In fact, Aareon Smith has recorded two games of career highs in points, 20 against Georgia State and 23 against Austin Peay - both games on the Owls' home floor.
 
KSU BY THE NUMBERS…

SCOUTING MOREHEAD STATE…
 - The Eagles of Morehead State is coaches by Greg Todd.
- Todd is in his second season with Morehead State, who's alma mater is Eastern Kentucky ('83)
- Todd has coaching experience with Transylvania (2006-14) and Morehead State along with high school experience to boost a 560-162 (.775) overall record.
- The Eagles are led by six players averaging double-figures, as Eriel McKee leads the team with 15.6 points per game.
- Shay Steele (14.7), Miranda Crockett (12.5), Kay Kay Tate (11.1), Natalie Greenwell (11.1) and Aaliyah Wells (10.3) also average double-figures for the Eagles in a balanced scoring attack.
- Morehead State also has three players (Eriwl McKee, Shay Steele and Miranda Crockett) that pull down over six rebounds per game, with Corckett's 7.7 leading the team.
- For the team, the Eagles are outscoring opponents 228-211 in the first quarter and are averaging 82.9 points per contest.
- Overall from the field, MSU is shooting 40 percent from the field and have a 0.7 assist/turnover ratio.
- The Eagles are averaging 7.6 blocks and 11.7 steals per game to go along with 48.6 rebounds per game.
 
SCOUTING XAVIER…
 -  The Musketeers are located in Cincinnati, Ohio and was founded in 1831.
- Xavier is home to 6,650 students and play in the Big East at the Cintas Center (10,250).
- The Musketeers are coming off an 18-15 campaign in 2014-15 and finished 8-10 (7th) in the Big East a season ago.
-  Xavier has a ton of experience returning with 13 coming back for the 2015-16 season with only three newcomers. That included four starters.
- The Musketeers have three seniors, three juniors and seven sophomores on the squad in 2015-16.
- Entering the weekend, Xavier has three players averaging double-figure numbers in the scoring column. Raeshaun Gaffney leads the team with 11.6 points, while Briana Glover (11.0) and Aliyah Zantt (10.2) have contributed in a big way for head coach Brian Neal.
- Neal is entering his third season as the head coach for Xavier and is his fifth season overall with the Musketeers.
-  Neal entered the season 26-38 (.406) in his first two season and owned a 197-69 (.741) overall record.
 
WIN WOULD…
- Give the Owls their first win on the road this season.
- Even the all-time series with Morehead State at 1-1.
- Give Kennesaw State its fifth win on the season.
 
COMPARING THE OWLS AT HOME AND ON THE ROAD…
- The Owls are 4-2 at the KSU Convocation Center, but are 0-5 on the road.
- At home, KSU is averaging 61.7 points per game on 42 percent shooting from the field. The Owls are making 35 percent of their 3-point attempts in six games.
- On the road, the Owls are averaging 53.2 points per game on 34 percent shooting from the field. KSU is making just 24 percent of its 3-point attempts from the field away from the KSU Convocation Center.
- KSU is pulling down 37.7 boards per game at home while grabbing 34.2 on the road.
- The Owls are dishing out 13.7 assists at home while averaging 8.2 on the road.
 
OWL FACTS FROM THE THANKSGIVING CLASSIC…
- Coach Nitra Perry once again switched her starting lineup and plugged in Allison Johnson, who averaged 6.5 points per game in two starts.
- Johnson's 12 points against Western Carolina marked a career-high, giving the Owls now four players to record new career-high marks in a single game – others include: Aareon Smith, Iceis Walker, Tayler Smith and now Johnson.
 
ANOTHER CAREER NIGHT!…
- Aareon Smith poured in a career-high 20 points in an Owls uniform in their home-opening loss to crosstown Rival Georgia State.
- Smith finished with a game-high in points (20) and 3-pointers made (4) against the Panthers.
- Smith went 4-for-9 from beyond the arc and 5-for-11 overall from the field.
- However, Smith once again poured in a new career high, compiling a career-best 23 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field, including 5-of-8 from beyond the arc.
- Smith poured in 11 of the Owls' 24 points in the fourth quarter, including a perfect 2-for-2 from the field and 5-for-5 at the free throw line, to help KSU pull away and earn the win.
- Aareon Smith is averaging 11.5 PPG over her last two games.
 
DULKOSKI HEATING UP!…
- Kelly Dulkoski made a career-high six 3-pointers in a single game against Presbyterian on Monday (Nov. 16) night.
- Dulkoski made six of the Owls seven 3-pointers made in the game, making three in each half against the Blue Hose.
- Dulkoski poured in her second game in which she made six 3-pointers at the KSU Convocation Center against Mercer (Dec. 5), tallying a new career-high 20 points.
- In fact, the redshirt sophomore is shooting over 40 percent from deep on the Owls' home floor, making 19-for-47 (40.4 percent) from beyond the arc.
- However, the guard is shooting 1-for-10 (10 percent) from beyond the arc away from the KSU Convocation Center.
- Dulkoski is averaging 19.0 points per game over her last two games, including 10-for-20 from deep and 13-for-26 (50 percent) over her last two games.
 
THINGS TO KNOW…
- The Owls 60-53 win against New Orleans on Nov. 29 marked the 70th win all-time at the KSU Convocation Center.
- Kennesaw State is 12 wins away from reaching 350 wins in the NCAA (335-281) all-time.
- Deandrea Sawyers has made 121 3-pointers over her first two seasons with the Owls. The most made 3-pointers in a season was 78 by Taylor Mills in 2011-12, which Sawyers fell just 15 shy of breaking that record.
- Sawyers is 3-for-4 from beyond the arc over her last two games, both at the KSU Convocation Center.
- -Jasmine McAllister also recorded 317 rebounds a season ago, which fell seven shy of the single-season record of 324 by Sametria Gideon in 2012-13.
- Deandre Sawyers is 222 points (7.4 points per game needed this season) away from reaching the 1,000 point plateau in 2015-16. She would be only the third player to accomplish the milestone since the Owls turned Division I in 2005-06.
- Deandrea Sawyers enters this week with 866 career points. She is 134 points away from reaching the 1,000 career point milestone, which is a 7.4 average the rest of the season.
- McAllister is averaging 9.0 rebounds per game, pulling down 90 boards per game.
- As a team, the Owls totaled 1,903 points (30 games) in 2014-15, which is just 42 points off the all-time Division I record of 1,945 posted in the 2011-12 season.
- Freshman Tayler Smith scored a career-high 17 points and played 21 minutes off the bench in KSUs overtime loss at Florida A&M.
