DALLAS — Kennesaw State women's basketball will open the Conference USA portion of its 2026-2027 schedule at WKU on Jan. 2, the league announced as part of its official schedule unveiling on Thursday.
The 2026-27 season marks head coach Tianni Kelly's first at the helm of the Owls. Kelly's inaugural run through the CUSA includes 18 games, nine at home and nine on the road, with KSU facing each of its nine league counterparts twice.
Sixteen of the Owls' 18 games fall on Thursdays or Saturdays, while their matchup at Middle Tennessee comes on Monday, Jan. 4, and a road tilt against Jax State is set for Sunday, Jan. 10.
KSU's CUSA home slate begins Jan. 14 versus Sam Houston at VyStar Arena. Kelly's team will conclude the regular season hosting WKU on March 6.
After not traveling to Delaware and Liberty last season, the Owls will do so in 2026-27. The Jan. 21 trip to Newark, Delaware will be KSU's first-ever visit to the home of the Fightin' Blue Hens.
Missouri State and FIU will both travel to Kennesaw this season after missing the road trip in 2025-26. The Owls will host the Lady Bears for the first time on Jan. 28.
With the departure of Louisiana Tech and UTEP from CUSA, each of the now 10 member institutions will qualify for the conference postseason championship tournament. The 2027 CUSA Women's Basketball Championship will return to Propst Arena in Huntsville, Alabama, March 9-13.
The Owls will announce their 2026-27 non-conference schedule at a later date.
