Men's Schedule | Women's Schedule
Kennesaw, Ga. — The Kennesaw State University Men's and Women's Track and Field teams have officially released their 2014-15 indoor schedule on Tuesday, November 4.
"We've been able to put together some great competitive opportunities for Indoor Track & Field," Director of Track and Field
Andy Eggerth said. "Our student-athletes have been working very hard since the first day of school, so we'll be excited to open our 2014-2015 campaign at nearby Birmingham in December to see how much we've already improved over last year. This is also where the indoor national championship will be staged in 2016, so that gives an indication of the quality of the facility."
As Eggerth mentioned, the first meet is the Panther Indoor Icebreaker on Friday, December 5 in Birmingham, Alabama. After winter break, the team will compete at the Blazer Invitational on January 9-10.
On Friday, January 16-17, the Owls will go to Johnson City, Tennessee where former Atlantic Sun foe East Tennessee State hosts the Niswonger Invitational.
The team will then travel to the frozen tundra in Minnesota to compete in the Jack Johnson Invitational on January 31 and February 1.
The next weekend, KSU will head north once again, but this time to Boston for two meets. On February 6, they will compete in the Crimson Elite hosted by Harvard and on February 7 they will be a part of the Scarlet & White Invite.
The indoor regular season will conclude with another trip to Birmingham for the Samford Invite on February 13-14.
After the Samford Invite, it becomes championship season with the Atlantic Sun Championship on Saturday, February 28 and Sunday, March 1 in Winston Salem, North Carolina for the second year in a row.
"Hopefully, we'll defend our men's title and claim the women's title at the A-Sun Championships in Winston Salem, and then over to Arkansas to see how we can place at the NCAA Championships," Eggerth said.
To cap off the 2014-15 indoor season, the NCAA Championships are Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
"Our kids made a goal two years ago to develop our program into a legacy," Eggerth added. "Their efforts have been recognized on a national stage as we've been invited to a couple of marquise meets this year. We'll get to display our skills as we brave the frozen tundra at the University of Minnesota, a program that has won both men's and women's Big 10 titles."
