KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State softball dropped its midweek contest to Georgia State, 4-0, at Bailey Park.
The Owls tied the Panthers on hits but were ultimately unable to mount a comeback. Savannah Frachiseur was the only player on either team with a multi-hit game.
How It Happened
GSU homered in the second inning to take an early 1-0 lead. Frachiseur led off the bottom half of the inning with a double. She moved to third off a sac bunt, but the inning ended with the runner stranded.
The visitors added two more runs in the third to extend their advantage. One more Panther crossed home in the fifth.
KSU got two runners on with only one out in the seventh, but the Panthers maintained the shutout.
Notes from the Diamond
- Savannah Frachiseur has three multi-hit games in the last five contests. She had none in the previous 27 games.
- With a hit tonight, Ana Gore is batting .342 in the month of April.
On Deck
The Black and Gold will head to Western Kentucky for a weekend series with the Hilltoppers. Game one is scheduled for 6 p.m on Friday.
