KENNESAW, Ga. – Playing in front of 900-plus fans, Kennesaw State softball narrowly fell in its midweek contest against No. 13 Georgia, 7-5.
The Owls trailed by as many as seven runs but clawed their way back into the contest with five unanswered runs. Three players had multi-hit games including
Ana Gore who had her third three-hit game of the season.
Ava Brooke Strickland had two RBI tonight.
In the circle,

How It Happened
The Bulldogs struck first in the top of the first inning. After the leadoff hitter doubled, she came home on a two-out single. They would add two more runs in the following inning.
The fourth inning ultimately decided the contest. It began with three-straight hits leading to two runs. After Daniel relieved
Leah Jannakos, the next batter got RBI. One more crossed home to make it 7-0.
KSU didn't go down without a fight, responding in the following frame. With the bases loaded, Strickland got hit by a pitch to score the Black and Gold's first run. A Bulldog bobbled a grounder the next plate appearance for two more runs.
Another two runs scored in the bottom of the fifth.
Savannah Frachiseur continued her hot stretch with an RBI single before Strickland got her second base knock of the evening. The Owls had the tying runs on in the sixth but couldn't bring them home.
