KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State soccer's undefeated start in Conference USA action has ended following a 5-1 defeat to the Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens. UD was in control the entire game, dominating 66% of possession, while outshooting the Owls 17-3.

Ava Bradford scored her first career penalty kick to prevent the shutout. She's up to nine points on the season with three goals and assists a piece.

Coach Chris Cahill's Remarks:
"Credit to Delaware, they're a good team," Cahill said. "Unfortunately, we didn't perform very well as a group today and they took advantage of it. We hope to get healthy, regroup, and get back to work later this week to get prepared for another tough conference game at Jax State."

First Half
The Fightin' Blue Hens got on the board in 13th minute. UD had been on the attack, generating three corners up to that point. On its third corner, Gabby Riley sent a bell towards the net. Goalkeeper Charlee Bernal tried punching the ball out of play, but it resulted in an own goal.

Their second goal came at the halfway mark of the first half. Maggie Holloway ripped a shot that ricocheted off Paris McCulloch for the score.

Second Half
A quick goal to start the second half made it a 3-0 game. The Owls got one back in the 66th minute. Ava Bradford drew a foul in the box off a free kick. The Texan would take the ensuing penalty kick and go bottom left for her first career PK goal.

Taisiya Reid scored twice in a 20-minute span for the final 5-1 tally.
