BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Kennesaw State women's tennis fell to DePaul 6-1 on Saturday afternoon at the IU Tennis Center.
"Unfortunately, we had a few too many things working against us today," said KSU director of tennis
Matt Emery. "We are excited to flush this one and get ready for Virginia Tech next Sunday."
DePaul took the doubles point with match wins of 7-5 and 6-2.
Laura Nadaska and
Izabelle Persson won their second doubles match in as many days with a 6-2 defeat of the Blue Demons' Sasha Stula and Yasemin Pehlivan.
While DePaul secured the match win with five singles victories, KSU's
Irene Serrano Maestre earned a point for the Owls with a straight-set (6-1, 6-4) defeat of Helin Alvarez.
Serrano Maestre, a freshman from Illescas, Spain, has recorded singles wins in each of her first two collegiate matches.
