KENNESAW, Ga. — Kennesaw State director of tennis Matt Emery announced the signings of Lucie Nouzová and Jenelle Roberts on Thursday.

The two newcomers will join KSU women's tennis for the 2026-27 season, further bolstering an Owls squad already returning five major contributors from 2025-26.

Nouzová comes to KSU from Prague, Czechia, and Gymnázium Budějovická. She currently ranks No. 104 nationally in Czechia among women's singles players and holds an 8.94 UTR.

"Lucie is a very athletic player with a tremendous amount of upside," Emery said. "We are very excited she chose KSU, and we can't wait to get to work developing her game. She is going to have a great career as an Owl."

Roberts returns home to northern Georgia after beginning her collegiate career a season ago at Western Carolina. The Sugar Hill native emerged from North Gwinnett High School as a 4-star recruit ranked in the top 100 prospects nationally and No. 7 in Georgia in the Class of 2025.

Roberts played in 16 matches as a true freshman for the Catamounts during the Spring 2026 season. With a UTR singles high of 9.0 and doubles of 9.22, Roberts' resume also includes advancing to the round of 16 at the 2024 G18 National Clay Court Championship and finishing 12th at the UTR Pro Summer Slam in Blacksburg, Virginia.

"Jenelle is going to fit in perfectly here at KSU," Emery said. "She will bring not only a great work ethic and all-court game, but very valuable experience near the top of the lineup as well. We are thrilled she decided to stay in-state and help continue to elevate KSU tennis."

Nouzová and Roberts round out a three-player 2025-26 signing class for the Owls. The duo announced on Thursday is also joined by fellow newcomer Adela Zingorova.

A native of Rybi, Czechia, and a Czech Junior Olympian, Zingorova signed with KSU in November 2025.

Nouzová, Roberts and Zingorova join five Owl veterans with the return of All-CUSA Second Team Singles and Doubles honoree Ema Baraniakova and CUSA All-Freshman recipient Maria Ivankovic. Terezia Baraniakova, Laura Nadaska and Irene Serrano Maestre are also set to return for KSU in 2026-27.
