KENNESAW, Ga.  – Kennesaw State opened the 2025-26 season in record-setting fashion, as the Owls opened up a dominating 50-point halftime advantage on the way to a 105-30 victory over Paine College on Monday night at VyStar Arena. The 75-point victory shattered the previous record for largest win margin in the program's D1 history, a 62-point win over Toccoa Falls on Nov. 28, 2020.
 
STAT OF THE GAME: The Owls hit a school-record 13 three-pointers in the first half and shot over 70% to open up a 60-10 advantage.
 
OWLS OF THE GAME: Senior guard 
Simeon Cottle and freshman forward 
Trey Simpson tied for the team lead on Monday with 17 points each.
 
THE FIRST HALF: The Lions were never in the game, as KSU scored the first eight points, and used a long run to open up a 40-4 edge 12 minutes into the contest. Paine did not reach double-figures until the final minute, while a Simpson jumper gave KSU a 60-point first half.
 
THE SECOND HALF: KSU emptied the bench with just over five minutes to play, and the trio of 
Dozie Onyirimba, 
Eric Holland and 
Charles Stone combined to score the final 13 points for the Owls. Stone's three-point gave KSU 100 points for the night, marking the 10
th game all-time the Owls have hit the century mark.
 
NOTES 
- All 14 healthy players appeared in the game, and 13 would score.

Ramone Seals with 13 and 
Perry Smith Jr. with 10.
 
NEXT TIME OUT: The Owls play their first road game of the season on Saturday, with a 1 p.m. contest against Florida A&M in Tallahassee. The game will be streamed live on SWACTV.
