NEWARK, Del. – In its first ever matchup, Kennesaw State women's soccer fell to Delaware, 4-0.

First Half
The Owls and Blue Hens traded possession in the first 10 minutes. Delaware had the first opportunity off a counterattack but the cross went right to Charlee Bernal. KSU had the first corner kick by either team.

Delaware struck in the 13th minute. Maura Fisher shot from outside the box but Bernal couldn't corral it, leading to a rebound goal.

The Black and Gold kept pushing in Delaware's defensive third but couldn't connect. Alana Nesbit and Rebecca Womer both had chances to set up goals but their passes were just off target.

Adiat Olaogun-Dickson found the back of the net but the goal was taken away after she was ruled offsides.

Brooke Vogel recorded a brace in 36th minute. She received a ball in the box and curved the shot past the KSU defender for the goal.

Second Half
Delaware struck early in the second half. Mai Jensen received a yellow card and the Blue Hens were awarded a penalty kick. Gabby Riley went left and blasted it past the diving Bernal.

Aly Bryan had a look in the 57th minute but her shot sailed high.

The Blue Hens tallied their fourth goal of the afternoon off a set piece. Lilli Lubic took a free kick and sent it in the box. The ball skipped around until Taisiya Reid chipped it over Bernal.

Both teams traded opportunities but the score stood at 4-0 until the final whistle blew.
