KENNESAW, Ga. – A monstrous offensive performance put the Owls on top in game two 10-7 to split the double header versus the Hatters Saturday at Bailey Park.
Game One (L, 1-0 | 9 Innings)
It was a pitcher's showcase for the duration of the game with no runs being scored until the ninth inning.
It marked the fourth time KSU has gone to extra innings and the third time in Bailey Park.

Kenley Hilleary shoved for nine innings, allowing only one run and racking up six strikeouts
Caroline Shumeyko roped two base hits, the most of any player in the game
Game 2 (W, 10-7)
Stetson started off the game with a run due to an error to allow the lead off hitter to reach. The Owls then turned on the jets to get back in the game in the bottom half.
Kennesaw State blasted four runs across starting with a
Stella Henry triple that led to a
Madison Miller RBI single to kick start the first inning. One batter later,
Macie Howes hit a three-run homer to give the Owls a three-run lead. KSU saw all nine batters come to the plate in the first.
In the second,
Ava Guzowski hammered her first collegiate home run to deep left field to extend the Owl's lead to four.
The Hatters would not go away, scoring four runs in the third and fourth inning combined.
In the home half of the fourth,
Ava Guzowski crushed her second homer of the game to regain the lead with a 6-5 score.
It's the first time an Owl has homered twice in the same game since May 12, 2022 when
Taylor Cates walked it off versus Jacksonville State.
The top of the sixth showed the Hatters regain the lead with two runs scored to obtain a 7-6 lead.
Ty Hardeman started the sixth with an infield single and was followed by two bunts from Henry and Miller to load the bases. Guzowski came up with another big that dropped for a single and tied the game at seven. Henry came home on a wild pitch to give the Owls the lead.
On a dropped third strike, the Stetson catcher hit Cooper on the head with the throw to first which allowed Miller to come home to give KSU a two-run lead. Reece Evans singled which drove home
Ava Guzowski.

The offense stacked up 13 hits, tied for the highest on the season
The top three hitters (Henry, Miller, Guzowski) earned nine base hits in the game
In the
Tripp MacKay era, KSU is 16-0 when scoring 10 or more runs in a game and 52-0 since 2010
It was the most home run's hit in a single game by the Owls this year (3)

The rubber match takes place tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Bailey Park to finalize the series versus the Hatters.
