NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Senior
Keyarah Berry erupted for her second-straight 20-point game as Kennesaw State (1-2) fell to the Belmont Bruins (2-1), 75-47, Thursday night inside Curb Event Center.
Entering off the bench in the Owls' first road game of the year, Berry tied her career-high with 24 points, set a new personal best for rebounds with eight and tied her career mark with eight made free throws (8-for-10). She has scored in double figures in three-straight games played.
The Rockmart, Ga. native now has three games of 20 points or more in her Owl career.

Prencis Harden tied Berry in boards with eight of her own and nine points, finishing just short of her second-consecutive double-double.

FIRST HALF
Kionna Gaines tacked on the first points for KSU, cutting a 7-0 Belmont run. The home team led 25-6 after one before the Owls forced a Bruin scoring drought of 3:28 after the first Belmont made bucket of the second quarter. Belmont led 42-20 going into the break.
Berry was perfect on free throws in the first half and led the Owls with nine points. Harden had seven boards through the first 20 minutes.
Gabriela Bendeck-Giron launched the first made trey of the day for Kennesaw State, her second of the 2024-25 season.
SECOND HALF
Berry added to her impressive night with eight points in the third quarter. She scored all but five of the Owls' points in the period.
Berry achieved her second-straight 20-point game on a trey to open the fourth quarter. The stingy Owl defense held Belmont scoreless for over three minutes in the fourth, allowing the offense to cut into the deficit. The Bruins closed out the game to secure the 75-47 win.
MOMENT OF THE GAME
HEAD COACH OCTAVIA BLUE POSTGAME
"KB is just playing fearless. She's giving it her all out on the court and sometimes when you play really hard like that, great things work out for you." - on Berry's 24-point performance.
"We just have to find our spirit. I don't think we came out with the right mentality tonight. At some points, we had some good spurts. But I think the biggest thing was our start, we put ourselves in a hole and it was really difficult to comeback against a really good team on their home court. Belmont is traditionally a great program and you can't put yourself in that predicament if you expect to win on the road." - on the overall team performance Thursday night.
