NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Kennesaw State women's soccer team fell short 1-0 Sunday afternoon after another defensive onslaught versus Lipscomb in Nashville.
This marks the Owls first loss since FGCU. The Owls were able to keep the regular season Atlantic Sun Champion Bisons from scoring in the first half. Kennesaw State conceded 11 shot attempts, but Lipscomb was unable to get one across. The Owls answered with a chance by by Jade Barkett with a shot from the top right of the box. The match was scoreless after the first 45 minutes.
Coming into the second half, the Bisons turned on the attack scoring the lone goal of the game. Kennesaw was also able to break through the Lipscomb defense giving them three shot on goals from Tianna Rivera, Teresa Wowk, and Naomi Moleka.
Kennesaw State was able to out number Lipscomb in saves, 5-2, with freshman Charlee Bernal making her first career start.
