KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State Volleyball completed a perfect 3-0 homestand thanks to a 3-0 sweep (25-17, 25-23, 25-20) over Central Arkansas on Sunday afternoon in Atlantic Sun Conference action from the Convocation Center. With the victory, KSU moved to 11-8 overall, and is currently tied for sixth in the league at 4-4.
OWL OF THE GAME: Manu Johnsen continued her strong play as she posted a game-high 18 kills and had a .389 hitting percentage (18K-4E-36TA).
STAT OF THE GAME: KSU held advantages of 5-1 on service aces and 8-3 on total blocks.
THE RUNDOWN – In the first set, the Owls broke an 8-8 tie thanks to a 6-1 spurt, and eventually increased the advantage to the final eight-point win. KSU then scored the first six points of the next set, but the Sugar Bears managed to stay within distance. With the Owls up 23-19, UCA scored four straight to tie the set at 23-23. KSU answered with the last two points, including a kill by Johnsen to put the home team up 2-0. Again the Owls would go up big in the third set, taking an early 13-3 edge. A 6-0 spurt from the Sugar Bears closed the margin to 15-11, and the visitors came within three at 23-20. The Owls one more time closed out with the final two points of the set, with Olivia Burrage providing the winning match point on a kill right at the net.

NOTES
-Joining Johnsen in double-figures was Emma Schurfranz with 12 kills (.320 hitting percentage).
-Brown posted 36 assists while Shelby Dennis had a team-high 10 digs and Burrage paced the team with six blocks.
-KSU moved to 3-1 all-time against the Sugar Bears with its third straight win in the series.
-This was the Owls' third 3-0 sweep of the season.
-The Owls finished the afternoon hitting .295 (46K-13E-112TA), while UCA posted a .204 (38K-17E-103TA) for the game.
NEXT TIME OUT: KSU are on the road for two games in the Volunteer State, starting with Friday night's contest at Lipscomb at 7 p.m., followed by a Saturday, 5 p.m. game at Austin Peay.
