Owls Win Two Events and Set Two School Records at Rod McCravy Memorial

LEXINGTON, KY.
 – The Kennesaw State track and field teams opened the indoor portion of the 2023 schedule at the Rod McCravy Memorial with 16 other programs inside the Nutter Field House on Friday.
 
School Records
  • Malik Hussie finished sixth in the 600m with a time of 1:20.28.
  • Isaiah Rogers won the men's weight throw with a toss of 24.37m (79'11.5"). That mark shattered the previous school record by over 14 feet and ranks No. 1 in the NCAA this season.

  • Jania Joseph and Kaylee Brown each cleared 1.65m (5'5") taking home fourth and fifth in the high jump.
  • Kalie Terza landed a toss of 17.36m (56'11.5") and Eriana Sanford added a throw of 17.18m (56'4.5") to finish fourth and fifth in the weight throw.
  • Taylor Hampton posted a mark of 5.83m (19'1.5") and Tayla Moreland added a leap of 5.74m (18'10") to finish second and fourth in the long jump.
  • Corbin McLean posted a time of 7.71 seconds in the 60m and 8.81 seconds in the 60m hurdles to advance to Saturday's semifinals.
  • Kyndall Hudson recorded a time of 1:36.70 to finish eighth in the 600m.

The Owls will finish competition at the Rod McCravy Memorial on Saturday, Jan.14. at 12 p.m.
