Won the hammer throw in three of four collegiate meets he has competed in so far this season. He finished fifth competing for KSU as the lone collegiate in a field of professionals in the hammer throw at Drake Relays with a mark of 71.39m (234'2").  The Smyrna native won the hammer throw with a mark of 71.90m (235'11") and finished fourth in the shot put with a toss of 18.52 (60'9.25") at the ASUN Outdoor Championships. His mark of 71.90m (235'11") ranks second in ASUN Outdoor Championship and seventh in program history. He is currently ranked fifth in the NCAA East Region in the hammer throw and 20th in the shot put. He also ranked eighth in the hammer throw and 48th in the shot put in the NCAA this season. He qualified for the NCAA Championships East Preliminary rounds and  the finals in hammer throw and shot put.  

Indoor
Rewrote the KSU record book in the weight throw this season ... opened the season winning the weight throw with a personal-best mark of 24.37m (79'11.5") ... That mark ranks No. 1 in the NCAA and No. 1 in the ASUN this season. Won the weight throw at the Doc Holiday VT Elite meet with a mark of 23.40m (76'9.25") ... Finished third in the weight throw at the Music City Challenge and fifth at the USATF Indoor Championships ... Won the gold medal in the weight throw with a toss of 23.14m (75'11") ... that mark established a new conference championship record ... was fifth in the shot put with a mark of 16.24m (53' 3.5") ... His shot put mark of 18.33m (60'1.75") at the Doc Hale VT Meet ranks fourth in the ASUN this season.

Threw a mark of 18.28 meters (59’11.75”) in the shot put at the NCAA Outdoor Championships … qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a toss of 18.70 meters (61’4.25”) in the shot put at the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds … won silver in the shot put at the ACC Outdoor Championships with a throw of 18.53m (60’9.5”) …  also placed fifth in the hammer throw with a mark of 62.26m (204’3”) ... placed third in the shot put with a toss of 17.47m (57’3.75”) at the Virginia Grand Prix ... also turned in a mark of 50.02m (164’1”) in the hammer throw … with a toss of 60.28m (197’9”), he finished seventh in the hammer throw at the Triton Invitational … also turned in a mark of 17.48m (57’4.25”) in the shot put … placed fifth in the hammer throw with a toss of 59.34m (194’8”) at the Florida Relays ... also turned in a mark of 17.50m (57’5”) in the shot put ... finished fourth in the hammer throw at the Vanderbilt Black & Gold Invitational with a mark of 59.20m (194’3”).

Was named the ACC Men's Field Performer of the Year … won silver medals in both the shot put and the weight throw at the ACC Championships … set a personal best in the weight throw at the ACC's indoor meet with a top mark of 20.74m (68’0.5”) … also set a personal best in the shot put at the ACC meet with a 18.19m (59’8.25”) … threw the shot put better than 17.26m (56’7.5 inches”) in every meet (four total) … had four top-five finishes in the shot put during the indoor season … threw the weight better than 20m in five meets … had five top-five finishes in the weight throw during the indoor season, including two second-place finishes.

As a Sophomore (2017-18 at TCU)

Finished second in the shot put at the Road Runner Invitational with a mark of 17.71m (58' 1.25") ... landed a mark of 57.96m (190'2") finishing second in the hammer throw at the Sun Angel Classic ... was second in the shot put at the Tom Jones Memorial.

Participated in six meets in the shot put and weight throw and never finished worse than fifth in the weight throw and sixth in the shot put … was runner-up in the weight throw and shot put at the Charlie Thomas Invitational.
 
As a Freshman (2016-17 at TCU)

Earned a top ten finish at the USATA Junior Championships in shot put, throwing for 18.28m ... finished runner-up in the Big 12 Outdoor Championship in shot put, throwing a season-best 18.43m ... picked up two wins in shot put, one at the Michael Johnson Invitational and the other at the TCU Invitational.

Finished third in shot put at the Big 12 Indoor Championship with a mark of 16.96m ... picked up two wins in shot put at the New Mexico Team Invitational and Dunamis Sports Group College Classic.

High school
Attended Campbell High in Smyrna, Ga. … set the state record in the shot put with a top toss of 67 feet, 10 inches, breaking a mark that had lasted 50 years … won the Class 6A state title in the shot … named the Gatorade State Boys Track and Field Athlete of the Year in 2016.
