KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Kennesaw State women's soccer team fell 5-0 to the defending SEC Champion Tennessee Volunteers Thursday night at Regal Soccer Stadium.
Allanah Blye earned her second start in goal this season and posted a career-best nine saves. The nine saves tied a season-high for the Owls.
Caeden Price had an early look four minutes in, but the Volunteers paced the offensive attack throughout the first half. KSU held strong despite 15 shots from Tennessee in the opening 45 minutes.
Tennessee's Jaida Thomas added a pair of goals in the first frame, scoring her second goal in the 43
rd minute as the Vols grabbed a 2-0 lead into the break.
The Vols added three more goals early in the second half to take a 5-0 advantage. The Owls' defense tightened up and only allowed three shots over the final 24 minutes of action.
Price led the Kennesaw State attack with two shots and one on-goal.
Kennesaw State ended the night with five shots and five corner kicks, the second-highest total of the season. Tennessee had 29 shots and 14 on-goal.

The Owls return home to take on Georgia Southern on Sunday at 1 p.m. for Senior Day.
