KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State Owls stayed within three of the No. 18 Temple Owls through the first half of the game before Temple gained momentum in the fourth quarter to power forward for a 19-11 win Wednesday at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
KEY PLAYERS: Siena Gore led the Owls with four goals and five draw controls. Caroline Farley added two goals of her own on the day as well.
THE RUNDOWN: Kennesaw State started off hot in the first quarter, and matched Temple goal for goal. In the second half, Temple increased the number of shots, securing 12 and 16 in the last two quarters, respectively. In total, Temple outshot Kennesaw State, 42-27. The fourth quarter proved to be an issue for Kennesaw State, as it only scored once.
QUOTEABLE: "All in all, I think it was a very well-fought match against a top opponent that will really help us prepare us for the games down the stretch. I also want to add that Errin (Crowe) played lights out today, which helped us defensively in the second half."– KSU head coach Laura Maness.

-Errin Crowe played the second half of the game and earned a career-high 10 saves in the net.
-Natalie Welch paced the Owls with two assists.
-Bailey Wilson and Carson Pearson scooped up three ground balls each.
-KSU fell behind in draw controls, securing 14 versus Temple's 20.
-KSU secured 18 groundballs versus Temple's 17.
